Global Britain: The Responsibility to Protect and Humanitarian Intervention
UK House of Commons Foreign Affairs Committee
10 September 2018

Britain’s House of Commons Foreign Affairs Committee has issued a report on the responsibility to protect and humanitarian intervention. In the report, they analyze the consequences of inaction in Syria and the ways in which the UK could improve its responsibility regarding the prevention of atrocities. The report requests the government to develop a plan to prevent mass atrocity crimes, reduce the use of veto in situations of genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes, update its protection strategies, and clarify the circumstances in which a humanitarian intervention can be conducted.

The official summary as well as links to the full report can be found here.
